Not Grandma's Pearls

Megan CrevierComment

It took me a second to jump on this pearl bandwagon...

Photo Mar 20, 2 55 55 AM.jpg

I've come to love the subtle hints of pearls added onto jeans, denim jackets and embellished shirts. These that i'm wearing from Zara are under $50 ...what I was willing to spend on a trend that may be quickly fleeting :) These jeans are so comfortable and have the perfect rise in my opinion!

Yes, there's a missing belt loop...all of them were like that? Kinda cool!

I paired these jeans with a plain black bodysuit (when will I stop loving bodysuits so much). Over top i'm wearing a shorter duster from Forever 21. I love this rust color so much. It's gorgeous for the Fall and the perfect way to transition into Spring and Summer.

Mesh Duster + Chic Sneaks

Megan CrevierComment

Ever since I lost my classic white chucks i've been on the hunt for a white sneaker and I think I found the winner! These Calvin Klein sneakers are from Macy's AND when I got to the register they rang up to be 50% off (shop here).

They're {almost} as good as my converse.

I love wearing sneakers with everything these days. Even the most feminine of outfits can be paired with sneakers and you instantly look like you could be in the latest editorial magazine - ok well, I like to think so. This skirt will be a go-to for me as we transition out way into summer here in Florida. OK let's be real it's already 90 degrees here. Throw on a white crop top and this mesh duster and you have yourself a chic little ensemble.

Calvin Klein has once again taken over the fashion scene and I couldn't be more down with it. I found this tee (linked below) on sale for $20! Pairing simple tees with ripped jeans is my favorite look lately. These jeans are heaven! I've worn the crap out of them and will continue to until they're falling apart.

Since we had our last few cold days in Orlando it was the perfect time to layer on this nude coat. Lastly I threw on my favorite old lady/old man loafers. All very minimalistic pieces brought together to make the perfect simple, chic outfit :) All pieces or something similar are linked below.

SLEEK SATIN ESSENTIAL

Aubrie Blackton2 Comments

The last few days of breezy weather are upon us in Florida! So I had to layer it up for one last time.

I paired a casual hoodie with a rose colored satin bomber to bring back the 90's vibe. I love this bomber because of the color and it instantly added a little chic-ness to your outfit! Throw on your favorite pair of distressed light washed denim and some sneakers & you're ready to go! I kept this look simple and casual by adding a backpack and a neutral colored lippie!  Find all the details on where to shop these items below :)

It Was All A Dream

Embroidered demin jackets have been my recent obsession! So naturally, when I saw this inspirational Biggie Smalls quote on the back of a button up denim shirt, I went for it. Anyone who knows me, knows casual style with a bit of flare is my favorite! I paired my favorite black, distressed jeans with a simple while tank and this frayed denim button up. For accesories, my Botkier backpack, black booties & gold choker are my go-to's. They seem to go with anything and are the perfect accessories for a variety of outfits :)

Comfortable, Anti-Tourist Travel Wear

Megan CrevierComment

When traveling, you typically spend your days exploring. This means walking, hopping in and out of cars, trains, busses, and starting your day not knowing where it will end. This also means photos - lot of them.

That said - you need something comfortable for all day wear that isn't gym shorts and a t shirt! You want to be fashionable in your vacay photos! And no one wants to eat an an endearing lunch spot looking like they've just left the gym.

Here are the outfits the two of us chose to explore Los Angeles that kept us feeling comfortable (but not touristy) all day long!

Stylish Comfort ft. ZARA

Aubrie BlacktonComment

I'm all about comfort when it comes to what i'm wearing.  So when comfort collides with style - i'm sold!

Let me start by saying, Zara knows their stuff when it comes to Fall/Winter fashion. On my most recent trip to the mall, I told myself I would "pop in" Zara. Well...3 hours later I shamefully made my exit with a rather large shopping bag. These were some of my finds:

{Long Sleeve Text TeeMilitary Inspired Green PantsLoafer Style Flats | YSL Tote }

If you're looking to switch out your jeans for something more exciting, try experimenting with different colored pants. They can be tight fitting, flare, business-tailored, you name it. This is something i'm trying to push myself towards to get out of my go-to outfit of jeans and a t-shirt.

These loafer style flats may not look comfortable but I was so surprised after I walked around in them for a day! I wear these from day to night and they are even office-appropriate. They are hands down my favorite pair of shoes right now.

I hope this post gives you a little outfit inspiration!

Fall Fashion? We've got you covered

Aubrie Blackton2 Comments
It’s no surprise that we’ve been obsessing over everything fall. Fall fashion trends being the number one obsession.

With New York Fashion week coming to an end, there’s a pretty good idea of what trends we will see on the streets for the next few seasons. Here are some of my must haves for the upcoming fall and winter seasons. All images are linked to where you can shop these items.

  • Military inspired pieces

They are here to stay. Go ahead and pull out your army green jackets and camo pants for the next few months!

  • Double Breasted Coats

No doubt, coats can get expensive. Since I live in Florida, I definitely won’t be investing in a pricey coat for the winter because I simply just don’t get that much wear out of them. I love this double breasted peacoat and the price tag comes in at $153. Not too bad for a stylish, warm coat that you can keep as a staple in your collection for many years to come. Not to mention, these gold buttons are everything!

  • Fur

Anything fur, goes. Fur vests, jackets, collars, purses. It’s in! Don’t be afraid to step out of the box and experiment with different colors. I love this purple fur vest by Lover’s and Friend’s.

  • Fringe

Bring on the fringe! Some may disagree, but I think the key with fringe is to not let it take over. I love these options because they aren’t over the top and they showcase the fringe in a classy way. My absolute favorite item is this fringe tote. You could even carry your this wearing your gym clothes and look like a million bucks ;)

We’d love to know...what are some of your favorite trends for the upcoming seasons?!

Thanks for stopping by!

XOXO

Relaxed BoHo

Megan Crevier2 Comments

I wore this outfit during the shoot for our latest collaboration with LouJewels and figured I would do a post about it because I love it so much! It's casual and comfortable, but still stylish and chic. We're starting to bring out the fall looks with dark colors and adorable booties!

I don't usually pair two loose fitting articles of clothing, but for this outfit I feel it just works. The boots and hat set the look with more of a grungier feel, which I love, as I am constantly pulled back and forth between my classy and elegant side, and the side of me that wants to rock out to Nirvana all day long. This look satisfies both! Pair it with some unique jewelry and try it out for a brunch or casual dinner!

The Wrap Cape

Aubrie Blackton1 Comment

Now, this is a BOLD statement...but if I had to choose 1 store to shop at for the rest of my life it would be Topshop! Sorry Zara, I still love you.

On my last trip to the Topshop in New York, I spotted this interesting wrap cape which is now 50% OFF! I'm a sucker for pieces like this because they are just so versatile! You can wear this with a dress underneath, a skirt and crop top, or as i'm wearing it, as a wrap dress. The outfit possibilities are endless!

I paired this so called "wrap cape" with some black heels that are simple but just enough. Throw on some gold accessories and you're good to go.

All of the items will be linked below, as well as my makeup look!

Relaxed Night Out

{ Pants: H&M, Crop Top: H&M, Necklace: Ippolita (similar), Watch: Michele, Bag: LV }

When i'm looking for an outfit for a night out I usually want to have a relaxed yet put together look and I think this outfit does just that. These comfy cargo pants have been my most recent go-to clothing item for a night out. I've already worn them 3 times since I purchased them! I paired them with a high necked crop top and added some gold accessories to compliment the gold on the pants. Try switching out your jeans for a more relaxed fitting pant for your next night out on the town!

Summer Essentials: Accessories

Aubrie BlacktonComment

Summer is a great time to experiment with your personal style. Here are some of my favorite summer accessories to compliment those sunny days, and endless fruity drinks on the beach.

{Sunnies - Urban Outfitters}

{Hat - Anthropologie}

I've been searching for the perfect hat that isn't too large and has a little unique flare to it and I stumbled upon this one in Anthropologie. I knew I had to have it! You can't go wrong with gold and black.

{Sandals - Target}

I wasn't sure how I felt about the whole Birkenstock trend but I decided to jump on the bandwagon and give them a try. They are so comfortable and I love the metallic gold color. I got these for around $20. (They are currently on sale)

What's your favorite summer accessory?

xoxo

Airport Style

Aubrie BlacktonComment

Trying to find something comfortable yet stylish to fly in can sometimes be a challenge. We always envy the celebs who can look effortlessly chic while parading through the airport in their 5 inch heels. As much as I would like to imagine myself walking from concourse to concourse in those designer shoes, it's just not practical people! Unless, of course, you're going on a job interview or have a special event that doesn't allow for an outfit change once you've landed.

For my airport look I paired my most comfortable black studded jeans, stretchy in all their glory, with a soft tee and a slouchy jacket. I love the way a simple jacket can make a whole outfit come together. And of course, you can't go wrong with converse for a day of travel. Top it off with a bag that's large enough to carry all your in-flight essentials and you're set.
